Cites make the courtiers beautiful and they are they are living symbols of the nations. They speak out of the ancient times and the great incidents of that time. Many nations preserve their old cites in order to keep their history alive. People, places and beauty are the factors that determine the quality of a city. Although there are many old cites, but London takes a significant place for most of the visitors and the residents. The old city provides the necessities of the modern world in every aspect.

The good old city of London is such memorable location in the world. The city boasts about its age, as it is the oldest and most historically important part of the London. It is one of the leading financial centers of the globe and offers good opportunity for both business and residence. The financial sector has taken care of the empty city and the place became dominated with a large number of skyscrapers to support the economy of the country. There were several attempts to get the residents back to town but it was not successful. Even today the city is busy during the week days the city is busy but in the weekend the place become lonely and isolated. The reason is the large number of employees and the less number of residents.

The population of the city increased during the 13th century. Majority of the people resided inside the city wall. The situating was changed during the 18th century. Most of the people had migrated to the other towns and also to the countryside. The arrival of the coffee houses has turned a page in the story of the city. These places have given more opportunity for the people to enjoy more freedom and exchange their ideas. Those places have turned into the places of knowledge transfer and exchange, as some intellectuals also selected theses places fro their relaxation. Some of these coffee houses had turned into foundations of business organizations. This cultural change has greatly affected to the society. There are several historical landmarks in the city. The domed St. Paul’s Cathedral is one of he attractions of the city. It was built by Sir Christopher Wren after the great fore in sixteenth century. There are some other places of interests for both local and foreign visitors. Finally, London is a living city with its majestic history.
